Throughout our more than 100-year history, ASHA has been dedicated to helping people access information about sexual health. We have always been committed to offering accurate information based on science, not ideology.
We are very alarmed by the new administration’s efforts to remove and alter the scientific information that educators, providers, public health experts, and the public rely on every day. We hope that it will reverse course and restore these much-needed government resources in their entirety.

In mid-February, some content had been restored to federal websites following a court order, but disclaimers were also added. As an example, the CDC website included a disclaimer that stated in part “Any information on this page promoting gender ideology is extremely inaccurate and disconnected from the immutable biological reality that there are two sexes, male and female.” The links below contain content that has been archived prior to the
ASHA believes that all people have the right to the information and services that will help them to have optimum sexual health. We envision a time when stigma is no longer associated with sexual health and our nation is united in its belief that sexuality is a normal, healthy, and positive aspect of human life.
