May 9 | Free the Pill Day

This day commemorates the anniversary of the FDA’s original approval of the first birth control pill in the U.S. back in 1960. Now, May 9 also commemorates the anniversary of the FDA advisory committee hearing on Opill, which was approved in 2023 as the first-ever over-the-counter daily birth control pill available in the United States!
